Returns & Refunds Policy

At The Nerd Academic Clothing Company, every item is made to order just for you. Because of this, we don’t hold stock or resell returned items.

1) Change of mind, size or colour

We do not accept returns or exchanges if you order the wrong size, colour, or style, or if you change your mind after purchase. Please check the size guide on each product page before ordering.

2) Damaged items or manufacturing errors

If your order arrives damaged or with a manufacturing error, we’ll make it right with a free replacement or a refund.

  • Notify us within 30 days of the delivery date.

  • Email support at: wesellnerdstuff@gmail.com

  • Include:

    • Your order number

    • A clear photo showing the issue (and, if multiple items with the same design are affected, a photo or short video showing all affected items in one frame)

You do not need to return the damaged item.

Print placement tolerance

For Direct-to-Garment (DTG) items, a print placement variance of up to 0.5" (1.27 cm) is considered normal and not a defect.

3) Undeliverable / unsuccessful delivery

If a parcel is returned or marked undeliverable due to an incorrect/incomplete address, missed deliveries, or refusal, you may choose either:

  • A reprint (shipping charges and a reprint fee apply), or

  • A partial refund (covers the product cost less shipping and handling we’ve incurred).

4) How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are sent back to your original payment method. Processing times may vary by bank/card provider.

5) Order changes & cancellations

Because items are produced on demand, orders enter production quickly. If you need to cancel or change an order, contact us immediately after purchase. We’ll do our best, but once production begins, changes/cancellations aren’t guaranteed.

6) Where (not) to send returns

Please do not send products back to our office or to any return address on the label—unauthorised returns will be refused. We’ll provide instructions if an item needs to be returned (rare).

7) Fair use & abuse

We reserve the right to refuse claims in cases of suspected misuse of the policy (e.g., repeated claims without evidence).
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
